Dear Members and Friends of Carolina Paws,
It is time, once again, to consider renewing your membership or joining Carolina Paws for 2009.
Guide Dog Users incorporated encourages their members to pay GDUI dues through your state affiliate, if there is one. Carolina Paws is the affiliate for Guide Dog Users of North Carolina. Your dues in this case, is $13. That's $8 for your membership to Guide Dog Users inc., and $5 for Carolina Paws.
If you are a member of a local affiliate of the North Carolina Council of the Blind, you should pay all national, state and local ACB dues through that local affiliate. However, if you do not have a local affiliate and you want to be an (at large) member of the council, you can pay $20. That's $7 for national and state ACB dues, $8 to GDUI and $5 to Carolina Paws.
If you would like to join Carolina Paws but do not want any affiliation with GDUI or NCCB, you can be an associate member for only $5.
I know it's sort of confusing. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call 919-632-2952. I'll do my best to answer them.
We need to hear from you no later than Thursday January 15th, 2009. This gives us enough time to get the information together and get the proper amount of dues to Guide Dog Users inc., and the North Carolina Council of the Blind.
